• Refunds after 7 days are at our discretion
• Unused story credits do not roll over and are not refundable

5.2 Generated Stories

Stories generated by our AI are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may:

• Read, print, and share stories with family and friends

• Print and color the accompanying coloring pages

School plan subscribers may use stories for classroom educational purposes.

5.3 Prohibited Uses

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to generate inappropriate or harmful content
• Republish, sell, or commercially distribute generated stories without permission
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the AI model
• Use automated systems to access the Service excessively
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights of others

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Story Factory and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

"Story Factory" and our logo are trademarks. You may not use them without our written permission.

AI-generated stories are created using OpenAI's technology. While you have rights to use the stories as described in these terms, the underlying AI technology remains the property of its respective owners.

7. Content Moderation and Safety

We use AI safety filters to ensure generated content is appropriate for children. However:

• We cannot guarantee that all generated content will be perfect or error-free
• Parents and guardians should review stories before sharing with children
• We reserve the right to review and remove content that violates our policies
• Accounts that repeatedly attempt to generate inappropriate content may be suspended

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

8.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• That defects will be corrected immediately
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers
• Specific story quality or outcomes

8.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORY FACTORY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
• Service interruptions or data loss
• Third-party actions or content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Story Factory from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these terms, or infringement of any rights of others.

10. Termination
